What is an electronic bill?

The electronic bill contains the same information as the bill you receive on paper, but it is in a format that includes an electronic signature that guarantees the authenticity of the issuer and the integrity of its content.

What does the electronic billing service consist of?

Once the electronic billing service is activated, and keeping in mind the billing date, you will receive an e-mail to let you know that your bill is available.
In this email we will provide you with the date, the amount of your bill and the contract number. We will also include a link to check it without needing to access My Endesa.
 
If you have several contracts with the same billing date, you'll get all your information in a single notification.

What are the differences between a paper bill and an electronic bill?

The only differences between the paper bill and the electronic bill is the format in which they are viewed and the speed of reception.

Your electronic bill contains the same information, billing date, etc. as a paper bill and has the same legal validity.

You can also see it in the same appearance as the paper bill, both at My Endesa and directly through the bill availability notification that you receive to your e-mail.

What are the advantages of electronic billing?

The electronic bill has various advantages: 
 
  • Availability: We'll let you know when your bill's available and you can view it immediately.
  • Quick Access: You can access your bills quickly from your email.
  • Security: The digital signature guarantees the authenticity of the issuer and the integrity of the content.
  • Organisation: Save space in your home with fewer papers to store. You can file bills on your computer or consult them through My Endesa.
  • Ecological Savings: Less paper means less environmental impact.

How much does it cost to register for electronic billing?

Signing up for the electronic bill won't cost you anything. It is a totally free service that Endesa offers to all of its customers.

What requirements do I need to meet to activate the electronic bill?

Electronic bill activation requires no specific requirement It is not necessary to be a registered user to activate this service. You can register through the option Activate Electronic Billing, and you can select between activating for a single contract or for all of your contracts.

How do I know that I have a new electronic bill available?

You will receive availability notice for the electronic bill to the e-mail address that you provided us when activating the service.
In this email we will provide you with the date, the amount of your bill and the contract number. We will also give you a direct link to download your bill.

Will I get an email for every bill I’m issued?

You'll get one email every billing date, because the notification letting you know your bills are available contains information about all your electronic bills from all your contracts generated on the same billing date.

How long will I be able to consult my bills online?

  • You can access it from the email notification we send you.
 
Remember that your electronic bills will be available on our Online Office, for a period of 5 years.

Until when will I be able to check my bills?

At Endesa's Online Office you'll have access to your electronic bills for a legal period of 5 years, from the billing date.

What are my legal and/or fiscal obligations with regard to online billing?

In the case of a business, we remind you that in the unique additional provision to the Order HAC/3134/2002 (BOE of December 13, 2002) it is established that: 
"Business owners or professionals that use electronic and information technology means to manage billing, accountancy and the generation of fiscally binding books and records must save the files, databases and programs required in a magnetic or optical medium for the prescribed period to allow full access to them for the purpose of correctly tracking them."
Electronic bills are completely legally and fiscally valid. In the event that you lose your digital copy of a file and you don't have a backup, you can download your bills again from Endesa Online. Remember that you can consult your bills for a period of 5 years.

Is electronic billing safe?

Electronic billing is totally safe. The digital signature that forms part of the bill guarantees the authenticity of the issuer and the integrity of the content.
Endesa has an electronic certificate issued by the Agencia Notarial de Certificación SL, which allows you to add an advanced electronic signature to your bills.

What does my computer need to have so that I can see my electronic bill?

No special requirements are necessary. All you need is an internet connection to access our Online Office, and an email address at which to receive the email announcement that your bill is available.

How can I verify the authenticity of the digital signature?

You can verify the digital signature through the "Validation" option offered by Endesa.
To do this:
  • You have to have first stored the corresponding electronic bills on your PC by clicking on the "@" icon in the "billing history".
 
  • Then click on the validation icon. A page will open and using the "Browse" button, you choose the electronic bill you want to validate.
 
  • Once the reference appears in the window, click the "Validate" button and you will get the information you want: signature owner, issuer information and the signature's period of validity.

Can I store my electronic bills on my PC?

Yes, you can file your electronic bills in two ways:
  • Without fiscal validity:
    • Save the file in PDF format. This will allow you to see the bills in the same format as paper bills.
    • In the billing history section of Online Office, click on the billing date. A window will open in which you have to select the "Save" option and indicate where you want to file it.
 
  • With fiscal validity:
    • You can file your electronic bills on your PC with fiscal validity and view them whenever you want without being signed in to our Online Office through a viewer. This will allow you to view the bills as you would receive them on paper.
    • In the billing history section of Online Office, click on the @ icon that differentiates e-bills from other bills. A window will open in which you have to select the "Save" option and indicate where you want to file it.
Remember that if you don't want to save the bills you can consult your electronic bills at Endesa's Online Office, for a period of 5 years.

Can I store my electronic bills on my PC?

In order to check your bills you need a viewer, which will allow you to see them as you would receive them on paper. This viewer can be downloaded from our Online Office in the section "Service Request".  You only have to do this once.
Once the viewer is installed, click on the viewer logo and select the electronic bill that you wish to view. You will automatically be able to see your bill when you select it.
Remember that you only need the viewer if you want to consult your electronic bills with fiscal validity without being signed in to Endesa Online Office.
If you're a business, we remind you that you have a legal obligation to save your fiscally binding bills according to the Order of the Ministry of Finance 3134/2002 (Spanish National Gazette of 13 December 2002).

I can't see my list of bills. Is there a problem?

This may be a temporary issue with the Online Office. Please try again later. If the problem persists, get in touch with us through our Customer Service Channels.

I want to register for electronic bills. What do I have to do?

Activating the electronic bill service is very easy. The only requirement that you must meet is to be a user of the Endesa Online Office.
 
If you are already registered in the Online Office, you can activate the electronic bill in the "Service Request" menu. If you are not yet a registered user, you can activate the electronic billing service when you register.
