Electricity rate resolution of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism

Electricity rate resolution of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism

On January 1, 2014, the Last Resort Tariff (LRT) became known as the Voluntary Price for Small Consumers (VPSC).

The Order IET/107/2014 published on February 1, 2014 and the Resolution of January 31, 2014, respectively establish the new prices for Tolls and VPSC (formerly LRT) to be applied to electricity from February 1, 2014 onwards.

According to the new rates, the power charge or fixed charge rises by 17.9% while the variable energy charge goes down by 6.9% compared to the rates regulated and published in January 2014.

This new review involves an increase in the electricity bill for homes with a lower electricity consumption and a rebate on the electricity bill for those that have a higher electricity consumption.
