What is the Social Rate

The social rate is a discount on electricity bills that is regulated by the government. It is intended for households that are experiencing financial difficulties and are therefore considered vulnerable.

To receive social rate, you must have contracted the regulated tariff (PVPC) and power equal to or less than 10 kW in your main residence.

You must also meet certain requirements. Depending on which requirements you meet, you will be entitled to a 25% or 40% discount on your total electricity bill.
