Is the billing per hour system the same as the time restriction tariff? | Endesa Customers

Is the billing per hour system the same as the time restriction tariff? | Endesa Customers

No, the billing per hour system is not the same as the time restriction tariff. The following table outlines the main differences.

Biling per hour Time restriction tariff
What is it? This is the new billing system pursuant to which you are billed for the electricity you consume each hour, with the prices being applied as established at that time by the energy market. There is a different energy price for each hour of the day.

Two time periods are established in which the prices of electricity are different. These time periods are called:

  • On-Peak (during the day), where the price of electricity is more expensive.
  • Off-peak (at night), where the price of electricity is cheaper.

The price of energy is the same during the hours covered by each of the periods. In other words, there is not a different price for each hour of the day. Here you can view the times for each of the periods.

Who does it affect?

Customers with a smart meter integrated into the remote management systems and that have contracted the VPSC tariff with a power lower than or equivalent to 10kW.

All customers, i.e. all customers can request a Time Restriction tariff regardless of the type of tariff they have contracted.

What type of meter is required?

A smart meter, integrated into the remote management systems.

Any type of meter. Although non-smart meters have to be adapted to activate the time restriction.

Does it cost anything?

No, the process of changing to the billing per hour system is completely free and automatic.

Changing to a Time Restriction tariff costs €9.04, which is the cost related to adapting your meter.
