You can change your gas or electricity suppliercompletely free of charge and with total confidence. Your gas or electricity will never be cut off during the switch.

It’s important not to confuse changing your supplier (the company you have a contract with and which sends you your bills) with arranging a new connection. You only have to apply for a new connection when your home or business isn’t already connected to the gas or electricity supply (because it is a new building or because it was cut off for some reason). Here we explain how to get your gas or electricity supply connected.

Switching suppliers is quick and easy. If you’ve decided to get your gas or electricity from Endesa, the first thing you need to do is find out about our tariffs and choose the one that meets your needs.

There are two main electricity markets in Spain: the regulated market (with a single tariff) and the free market (with a range of tariffs tailored to your consumption profile).

The free market tariffs offer you fixed prices and you won’t be tied in for a minimum contract period or incur penalties for switching:

The 100% online Tarifa One Luz contract offers you a fixed price with no surprises. You’ll always pay the same for each kWh you consume. The same option is available for gas with the Tarifa One Gas contract. Or you can combine electricity and gas under a Tarifa One Luz+Gas contract.

If you’d rather personalise your tariff so it is totally tailored to your consumption habits, we recommend the various Tarifa Tempo contracts. The Tarifa Tempo Happy contract, for example, allows you to choose 2 hours a day (or 1 day a week) when all the electricity you consume will be free.

Remember, get in touch with us through the various Customer Service channels if you need any advice.

What documentation do you have to provide?
  • Full name and tax number (NIF) of the person who will be the contract holder.
  • Supply point address.
  • IBAN code of the bank account you want to use to pay your bills.
  • Contact telephone number and email address.

You don’t need to worry about anything else, as we’ll take care of all the paperwork to complete the switch free of charge and without your gas or electricity supply being cut off even for a day.

Click here if you want to apply for a new gas or electricity connection, i.e., if you don’t already have a gas or electricity supply point in your home, or the supply has been cut off.

Here’s a step-by-step run-through of the application form
  1. Identify yourself

Tell us whether or not you’re already an Endesa customer. If you are, enter your log-in information and your details will be pre-loaded, speeding up the process. If you aren’t an Endesa customer, tell us and enter your details.

  2. Your details

Give us your personal and contact details so we can continue with the application.

  3. Your supply

Please provide the following information here:

    Electricity
    • Who is your current supplier? Remember not to confuse this with the distributor. The supplier is the company that sends you bills.

    • Whether or not you are the contract holder.

    • Your supply point. You need to consider the following when searching for your supply point:

      • If you are the contract holder, enter the CUPS number or the address you want to connect.

    • Your bank details.

    • If you want to contract a tariff with or without time-based pricing.

    • The type of tariff you want to contract.

    • Select the service capacity that is best for you. Our service capacity calculator is available here if you want to use it.

    Gas Maintenance
  4. Payment details

Set up a standing order for your bills. You can associate your new contract with a bank account that we already have on our system or provide us with a new one. Once you have entered the payment details, a message will appear and we will send you an email confirming we have successfully received your application. You can access all the details of the application from this email, and check its current status in your Private Customer Area.
