Bi-monthly billing capacities less than 15 kW

Bi-monthly billing capacities less than 15 kW

07.07.2014
Royal Decree 1718/2012 of December 28th establishes the new procedure to carry out readings and billing, introducing bi-monthly billing with real readings for all low voltage energy supplies with contracted capacity no greater than 15kW.

This means that from April 1, 2013 onwards, billing will be every other month (bimonthly), based upon the actual readings of your energy consumption. This will eliminate estimations regarding consumption on bills.

Who does bi-month billing affect?

This measure affects customers who have a contract with the Reference Marketing Company.

Customers who have energy contracted with the Open Market OM Rate in Endesa Energy XXI enjoy bi-monthly billing from the signing of their contract.

In summary:

  • From April 1, 2013 onwards, customers in the Reference Marketing Company will start to be billed every 2 months (bi-monthly), with consumption billed being the result of actual readings. Exception is made for customers with a Remotely Managed Meter with remote reading activated. Learn more about the regulated rate with remote management.
  • Customers with the Open Market rate will be billed every 2 months (bi-monthly), with consumption billed being the result of actual readings.

When does bi-monthly billing go into effect?
Bi-monthly billing will begin on April 1, 2013, although Royal Decree 1718/2012 of December 28th was published on January 15, 2013.
