You lose most your body heat through your head

According to researchers at the University of Indiana, less than 10% of our body heat is lost through the head.
The face, head and chest are indeed more sensitive to changes in temperature. This is why we feel warmer when we cover these parts of our body. But this feeling does not justify so many survival manuals claiming that 50% of our body heat is lost through our head.
